Influenced by rubber hardness, fluidity, product size, shape, cost and quantity, vulcanization equipment and so on, we should choose the appropriate die structure when manufacturing the die. In the actual production, small batch conventional die-pressing products account for the majority, and its die structure is commonly used in two forms: flat pressing and transfer die structure.
1. Flat pressing die structure
Owing to the relatively low cost of the flat pressing die, it can meet the quality requirements of most rubber moulded products, so its application is the most extensive.
To open this kind of mould, we need to provide information:
_a. Types and Hardness of Rubber Material
_b. Tonnage of machine tools
_c. Types of Machine Tools: Flat or Vacuum Vulcanizers
_d. Number of holes in die
The flat pressing die needs to put semi-finished rubber materials in the die cavity beforehand, and for rubber products with small production, manual cutting is usually used to load them; for large production, and the die cavity is more than 25 cavities, in order to facilitate the loading of semi-finished products, some tooling can be designed.
2. Selection of Transfer Die Structure
_is mainly used in the following situations.
In 2.1, when it is difficult for small-sized thin-walled or porous products to be filled with glue
2.2. When it is difficult to glue elongated or other shaped products,
2.3 For exposed skeleton products, the skeleton should be fixed first.
2.4. The semi-finished compound with high hardness (above 85 degrees of Shaul) is difficult to prepare or is easy to fracture at the joint of flat pressing structure. High hardness products, in addition to sheet products, generally use the transfer die structure.
2.5. Dies for large and thick products
It is easy to shrink the edges of large and thick products when they are moulded. The transfer mould is to press the rubber into the cavity in the melting state. The temperature of the rubber is high everywhere, and it is close to the same, which can change the phenomenon that the thick products are easy to shrink the edges appropriately.
To open this kind of mould, we need to provide information:
_a. Types and Hardness of Rubber Material
_b. Tonnage of machine tools
_c. Types of Machine Tools: Flat or Vacuum Vulcanizers
_d. Number of holes in die
3. Injection Mold Structure
_For mass-produced products with injection conditions, the structure of injection mould should be adopted as far as possible.
_Injection mould is closely related to injection machine. Before the design of injection mould, it is necessary to determine which injection machine is to be manufactured, and the manufactured mould can only be installed on the suitable injection machine.
To open this type of mould, the parameters of the injection machine must be provided as follows:
Size of nozzle and positioning ring of__a injection machine
Position and size of T-groove or screw hole on hot plate of injection machine mounted with_b and die
The maximum height and minimum height of the die allowed by_c, and the maximum size of the length and width of the die.
Maximum injection volume of injection machine for D
4. Other structures
_For some rare products whose production process is different from that of common die-pressing products, the die structure is designed according to the process requirements. When deciding on the production of such intersecting products, the processing technology is worked out by the technicians, and the die designers design the corresponding structure for the special process.
